Padel – Auckland Park

The fastest growing sport in the world – now coming soon to Auckland Park!
Padel is a revolutionary sport which merges tennis and squash together into a fast paced, more social, action packed game. Auckland Park will soon boast 3 world-class astroturf courts, positioned conveniently to the changerooms, swimming pool and dining facilities.
As one of the fastest growing sports in the world, Padel is an activity that can easily satisfy the needs related to both leisure and physical activity of all segments that make up society, therefore it can be played by anyone, making it a multi-generational game. Unlike a lot of the other racket sports, Padel doesn’t require great technical skill to obtain almost immediate satisfaction. It makes it possible for players of different strengths and skills to be able to play with or against each other without constraints.
Welcome to the world of Padel – it’s time to Enrich Your Life!
Object of the game
The object of the game is to win two out of the three sets that constitute a match played in doubles. Each pairing must work as a team to outplay the opposition. Due to the court being smaller than in tennis and enclosed, players are close together so need to develop a good understanding if they are to be successful.
Rules & scoring
Scoring is the same as Tennis and is always played as doubles. To serve you drop the ball and hit underarm cross court into the service box of the receiver. Less technical ability is required and points are won based on strategy rather than strength and skill – great fun for everyone!
