RMB Starlight Classics Celebrates 21 Years of AfroSymphonic Magic - A CCJ Member Event

RMB Starlight Classics 2019 is ready to welcome spring with its signature AfroSymphonic event on 7 September at the Country Club Johannesburg, as a host of local and international musical stars converge under the baton of Maestro Richard Cock, accompanied by the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra.
Multi award-winning performer Zahara, international guest tenor Gaston Rivero, piano virtuoso Charl du Plessis, international baritone Musa Ngqungwana, pop toe-tapper Lee Scott and The Voice South Africa’s Siki Jo-An combine with 2018 World Choir Games stars Quava Vocal Group and one of South Africa’s leading choirs, The Chanticleer Singers, for a series of performances that reinvigorate the classics and tune up some contemporary pop numbers for the RMB Starlight Classics stage, guided by award-winning Director Darren Hayward.
Nature gets its own spot in the lineup with a specially-commissioned musical piece, Murmuration, adding a soaring orchestral accompaniment to footage of the astonishing sight of an immense flock of starlings in flight. Murmuration is composed by Cape Town-based film & documentary score expert Grant McLachlan.
