The CCJ Foundation

The Club registered the CCJ Foundation, a charitable fund established to assist previously disadvantaged employees of CCJ, including our caddies, in various areas in which they need assistance. The fund will also be used for deserving causes in the community around us in areas such as children, education and including animal welfare. We aim to improve the lives of people, animals and the environment.

The CCJ Foundation has been registered with SARS and is fully compliant as a registered charitable organisation. All donors of the CCJ Foundation will receive a Section 18A tax certificate allowing the deduction of the donation for tax purposes. Up to 45% of the donation made will therefore be returned to the donor in the form of tax relief.

PREVIOUS INITIATIVES

The Covid-19 online auction

In an effort to assist the Club’s vulnerable employees and caddies during these unprecedented times, The Country Club Johannesburg has launched a new initiative – The CCJ COVID-19 Online Auction. This initiative endeavours to raise the necessary funds to assist our employees and caddies, who have been deeply affected during the nationwide lockdown in the fight against COVID-19. Some items to look forward to include the opening tee times, an at-home wine tasting experience, Illy coffee training, personal training lessons, a miniature golf day and much more!

The CCJ Foundation has also visited Rays of Hope to assist in making up 150 parcels for the vulnerable people of Alexandra. The CCJ Foundation donated R25,000-00 and assisted in packing parcels of essential food and hygiene products which will support a family of six for up to three weeks.
