Squash was pioneered as a sport in South Africa by The Country Club Johannesburg and remains a special Club sport to this day. The Country Club Johannesburg is also the home of the Jesters Squash Club and is a popular choice when hosting the SA National Doubles.
There are five singles and four doubles courts at Auckland Park and four singles courts at Woodmead. As a member, you can book a court using the online booking system or by contacting reception.
The Club proudly fields 8 men’s league teams competing across all levels in the Joburg Squash League! Join the action every Tuesday evening from 18:00 for an electric atmosphere at Auckland Park or at various external clubs. Contact Christo and be part of the league excitement!
Whether you're looking to sharpen your skills or enjoy a friendly match, members can join squash socials every Monday at Auckland Park from 17:00 and every Thursday at Woodmead from 17:30.
Junior squash clinics are held throughout the year. Hosted by the Squash Pro, it gives children the chance to enjoy some fun training and fitness with fellow friends and Club children.
Christo is a highly accomplished and well-respected squash coach with over 20 years of experience in the sport. With a proven track record of success, he was honoured with experience in the sport. With a proven track record of success, he was honoured with the prestigious Squash SA Coach of the Year award in 2020, further cementing his reputation as one of the top coaches in the field.
